The Peregrine Falcon lived in the city of Barcelona until 1973 when the last couple was shot. In 1999, a project was started to reintroduce them and in 2005 a couple nested successfully for the first time in the famous temple of the Sagrada Familia. This was great news since the temple is an emblematic building for the city and thousands of tourists visit it every year. Other pairs of urban falcons nest now in other buildings in the city, on a cliff and also in a huge thermal power station disused.
